Desoto Jones w/ Anchor & Braille – Philadelphia, PA

The other night I got to hang out with Desoto Jones at their show with Anchor & Braille at the Milkboy in Philly. It’s been such a long time since I’ve shot any live music, so it was nice to get back to one of the reasons I started taking pictures. Desoto Jones played a great set filled with songs off their soon to be released album. I also shot some portraits of the band before the show, which we’ll be releasing later this month.

I’ve been a big fan of Stephen Christian’s main project, Anberlin, and I’ve loosely followed Anchor & Braille since they released their first album, “Felt”, in 2009, so it was nice to catch them at such a small venue. This show was Anchor & Braille’s first headlining show, as well as their first time playing in Philadelphia. Pick up their new album “The Quiet Life”.
