One of the most frustrating things about being a photographer is the amount of pre-production it takes to get a shoot moving. All of the back and forth between clients, stylists, agencies, and make-up artists, can get old sometimes. Every once in a while you just wish a shoot could pop together out of thin air, and when it finally happens it’s usually the most natural work a photographer can create. It’s my favorite way to shoot.
A few days ago Sarah Hawkins and I decided we were past due for a photoshoot, especially since she had just cut her hair after an exciting trip to LA. I wasn’t expecting us to decide on shooting the following day, but we did and it was great.
